Sand Gravel Pump in Dredging
Sand Gravel Pump in Dredging
Sand gravel pumps are suitable for many operations, including sand, gravel, and rock suction, sand mining, sediment pumping, and metal smelting slag transportation. They are widely used in a variety of settings, including reservoirs, lakes, rivers, and the sea. Their highly variable nature requires them to be versatile, hardy, and able to withstand many types of media under potentially harsh conditions.
Dredge pumps are generally used to simulate the principle of water flow scouring in nature. The sand gravel pump creates high pressure in the water, passing through it and is used to carry out sand and soil digging. The high-speed water column impacts the soil and sand, wets and disintegrates it, and mixes into the mud, which is then lifted by a vertical sand suction pump and transported to the sand field through a pipeline.
When selecting the dredge pumps, one must consider the type of installation, design material, slurry type, critical flow rate, and discharge head estimation. We have taken these factors into consideration in our dredge pump design, which includes the following:
- A high-efficiency, energy-conserving, wear- and corrosion-resistant design
- High lift and large flow (maximum mixed flow can reach 2000-5000 cubic meters/ hour)
- Large pumping depth (the deepest can be pumped 30 meters deep)
- The mixed solid-liquid concentration can reach up to 60% and can be equipped with a motor or a diesel engine.
- A wide pump flow channel and good cavitation performance.
- A shaft seal, packing seal, impeller seal, or mechanical sea option is available
- Multiple transmission modes available, including V-belt transmission, elastic coupling transmission, gear reducer transmission, or hydraulic coupling transmission.
- Variable frequency drives available, including silicon and speed controlled.
This electric dredge pump can be combined with a high-pressure clean water pump to form a hydraulic dredging and filling unit for dredging and dredging operations. It can also be combined with multiple vertical and horizontal marine or land sand suction pumps to form a pump operation group.
